One of the best things about having girls is being able to dress them up in cute clothes! Everywhere you look you can find cute clothing for little girls. One of the downsides is that everywhere you look, all the girl’s clothing pretty much look the same; They’re all the same styles and same colors.
Well, I recently discovered a San Francisco-based company that creates children’s clothing inspired by worldwide cultures- Tea Collection.
About Tea Collection
We design distinctive fashion collections inspired by the beauty we discover in our travels around the world. From the iconic art and architecture of Barcelona to the graphic boldness of Brazilian street graffiti, we interpret our discoveries into beautiful, dynamic styles for children, ages 0-12. We launched our women’s collection in the fall of 2010 in that same spirit—easy-going, culturally-connected styles designed to fit your life.
The girls had the opportunity to try out a few pieces from Tea Collection’s new Fall line- Modern Mexico.
When I received the shipment, I was immediately pleased at the quality and selection of pieces. There was a mix of girl’s dresses, tops and pants, all clearly inspired by Mexico with floral prints, stripes and beautiful, bold colors. The high quality of each piece justifies the price point, which may seem a bit high to those of us who are used to shopping at Target or Carter’s. However, these pieces are the type that make the best hand-me-downs, as they are sure to last years and still look good. So when the girls outgrow these, they will definitely be making their way to my new adorable niece, Eva.
The pictures of the girls do not do this clothing line justice. You can only imagine how hard it is to get pictures of a 1- and 2-year old. Most of it is just a blur of them running away or moving around. For those of you that are interested, here is what the girls are wearing:
My favorite thing about Tea Collection is that their pieces are so unique, inspired and stylish. It’s an innovative way to introduce children to foreign cultures and show them the beauty of each one. So if you’re looking to do some shopping for your kid’s, I highly recommend Tea Collection! Shop here.
Disclosure: I received samples of Tea Collection’s Fall 2011 line at no cost to me for the sole purpose of this review. Opinions are my own.
